My client, a major utilities company based in Glasgow are urgently seeking a solid Project Manager ideally from an application development project management background.
You will be responsible for running multiple projects on a day to day basis on behalf of a number of business customers.
You will take overall ownership of project teams and have budget responsibilities of up to Ј 2 million pounds.
Main duties
Initiate and manage multiple IT projects
Deputise for Delivery Manager when required
Manage the production of products
Direct and motivate team members
Produce and Project initiation document
Manage budgets
Manage risks, including contingency planning
Liase with different IT units, making sure the deliverables are met
Responsible for change management and change control
Agree technical and quality strategy with the project board
Skills and Knowledge
3 years project management experience in an application development background
Prince 2 methodology or similar
Conscientious and proactive approach
3rd party supplier management
Management of staff and ability to manage multiple projects*budgets up to 2 million
